21 Days of Prayer and Purpose

Day 21

Revelation 8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

So what happens when we pray? Where do those prayers go? Are they forgotten and ignored? Wasted and trashed like scraps from a table? No... each time you pray and present yourself before God with a need, those prayers are stored in heaven. John wrote about the vision and it no doubt blew him away. Once the silence ended, the censer was opened and in it contained a worlds size quantity of prayers, past and present.

The prayers we pray are secured and kept. They matter. The value is so great that in the final moments of the visitation that the writer had in the place called heaven, he makes notes of the smoke that went up to the throne of God. Mixed with fire and prayer it made an atmosphere for the King to sit. The environment of the throne of God waves with smoke from everything you have ever prayed. In essence, those prayers with tears and those prayers with joy are kept for the sole purpose of making a place for God to dwell.

21 Days of Prayer and Purpose is just the beginning of this year. We must see the need and the urgently of the hour and here at CAC we must decide to continue the journey of prayer. Finding purpose in what we pray for and making the determination to continue is what will make the difference between revival in our time or becoming just... church.

I want to thank all of you who have taken this journey with me. I believe the greatest days of Cornerstone Apostolic Church are before us. With the opportunity to build a new facility this year and another chance of making a difference in our city, I trust that God is with us as we move forward in Him. Keep the faith. Keep praying. Keep on the firing line! I Love you all!
