21 Days of Dedication

21 Days of Dedication

Day #7

Scripture:
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Point:
Oh, to have wisdom in a mixed up and dangerous world… an insight as to the questions that are moving our generation into all directions. Wisdom is a wealthy commodity in our present world. With the experiences we receive as we live day to day, we connect that to our interaction one with another. In that relationship we gain wisdom. The problem is that we must ask God for the ability to discern inner qualities in each step that we take.

If there is a deficit of discernment, ask God for that capability to grasp truth as it unfolds. Not the same as “knowledge”… wisdom comes from living life and taking chances. If the wisdom is lacking in your life, ask God for it. James reassures the reader that it will be granted to you liberally. No restraint. Limitless and without chastisement. That is a product that we should all desire more of. Wisdom to make right choices. Wisdom to know good and bad. Wisdom to help whenever the time dictates.

Our days of dedication bring us to the end of the first week. Reading Gods Word, writing what we hear from God and continuing to desire truth… with all that He is doing in our lives, let us pray for wisdom for the hour in which we live. To discern the right and wearing of the age. He speaks… let’s listen!
