21 Days of Dedication

21 Days of Dedication 2022

Day #6

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

For some unknown reason, we have a book in the Old Testament named… The Preacher. Ecclesiastes in all of historical studies was penned by Solomon. He of course is known as the wisest man that ever lived. God had granted the young kings request by not only blessing him with riches and power but also with wisdom beyond comprehension. In his writings we see that he addresses the different times and seasons of humanity.

In fact Solomon writes that all things under the heavens comes in a certain season. In addition to this assurance comes the grasp of reality that a purpose is also attached to time. If you were to continue in this particular series of scriptures you would discover that he connects basically all aspects of life. Living and dying. Planting and reaping. Time to be quiet and a time to speak. Loving and hating. It is as if the author has an understanding of the times of life where change is unavoidable.

In our dedication and discovering the purpose of our time on earth… we too must understand the facts that things will change in our lives. Days turn into nights. Good at times turns to bad. Up will at any moment flip over. These words are so important for us to comprehend. There is a season and a time with all that we are involved in with our lives.

Take time for prayer and reflection. Journal your thoughts of what the Spirit is speaking to you during your communication with Jesus. He speaks in His season. Listen and take notes. He is still in control of all things.
