21 Days of Dedication

21 Days of Dedication

Day #10

Acts 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

A fulfillment of Old Testament prophetic utterances. Once the Spirit of God was demonstrated in a room made for meetings and the Spirit of God was seen working in the lives of some 120 who had gathered in that room. The world would no longer be the same. Joel had declared the outpouring. In his day he was never guaranteed the promise would come in his time… but he followed Gods anointing and spoke it into the atmosphere.

We already know that the Bible is Gods book for humanity. We are certain that He has a plan for every generation. There is nothing that can say to the church that it has stopped the move of His Spirit. So as we are moving into the middle of this 21 Days of Dedication, I must remind us that just as the promise was fulfilled in the first century church, it will continue until Jesus declares it is finished.

Signs have not stopped. There are still wonders in the heavens. All of this is pointing to that great moment when all will have reached its completion and the church will leave this world. A place called Heaven is awaiting those who make themselves ready. As you journal today, consider the last days… write what God says about that… and then love Him as if your eternity depends on it!
